I was happy with the job my hairdresser did but not super impressed with her professionalism. She was busy texting the entire time she did my hair, she was 15mins late for our appointment (as in not even in the salon yet) and then made me sit for 30mins while she coloured her next clients hair before she blowdryed and styled my hair. I've gone to her for a few years now and I'm ready to find someone else. There is a hair salon opening at the end of my street I think I'll check out next time.

Haircut
I was overdue for a haircut. Really overdue. My hair was at the length where I felt like the only thing I could do with it was a side braid and if I did anything other than that it just went crazy. So I finally got ahold of my hairdresser (which is nearly impossible) and booked an appointment for last Thursday. I realized the last time I saw her was 11 months ago. I did go to Singleton's once in between (Christmas time I think) and they butchered my hair and I've been dying to get it recut since then. I was planning to go a bit shorter than I did. I usually go to around the shoulders but I had a few people suggest I leave some length to it, so I listened. Here are the results...

My Reflection
So I haven't had a chance to catch up on the April Photo Challenge but here is one more post until I get a chance to. This is a picture of my reflection after getting all done up for a social I went to this weekend. It was a great time with my sister-in-law and brother. I bumped into a few people I haven't seen in a while there as well. I still have two more socials I plan to go to before the end of April. April is going to continue to be a busy month for me with several family gatherings, work in my yard to do and school. I'm sure the rest of April will fly by and summer is going to be here before we know it. Hooray! :)

My Smile
I am loving life and enjoying where things are right now. I would love to meet Mr. Right but for right now I am having fun looking for him. Being single is alright. I love my home, my roommate and my friends. I love my students, my colleagues and the school I am able to work at every day. I love that the weather is getting warm so early and that I can enjoy some time outdoors this early in spring. I love being able to make plans to improve my home over the next few years. I love that I have so many wonderful people in my life willing to offer me their help, their advice and their time in all aspects of my life. I LOVE my family and the addition of my cousin's newest little baby, Owen James Michael, into our family. I love that I live in such a wonderful country where I can enjoy the freedoms and luxuries that I have. I love that I have so many reasons to SMILE! :)

A little Me time!
So I've been making a point of trying to find a little "me" time every day. Sometimes this simply involves sitting back and getting cozy on my couch with a good drink (quite often a warm cup of tea not pictured below) and one of my shows or a girly movie. As you can tell from below I'm guilty of following Y&R quite religiously. Darn you mom, for getting me hooked at an early age! I also haven't been doing nearly as much school work in the evenings and on weekends as I used to and I'm finding that the world has NOT ended. I do still stay late at school working but I try not to take anything home with me at the end of the night. I do, from time to time, but quite often I bring stuff home now and never bother getting to it, which is okay (or so I keep trying to convince myself).
